These will bring a growing research evidence base to support teaching and learning of mathematics across Key Stages 1-3.
This section showcases the lesson studies that teachers do to address a wide range of ‘hard to teach’ and ‘hard to learn’ areas of mathematics in the New Mathematics Curriculum. Each lesson study case includes detailed explanations of its focus and rationale, the context, what teachers did, what they observed, what they learned and their plans for disseminating the learning.
The LSEF lesson study handbook has been created to help teachers plan and evaluate research lessons. It is a step by step guide to the whole process and can be used to structure a case report to share with colleagues and on this website.
